Oracle sued in 2010, claiming Google's Android mobile platform infringes on Oracle patents and copyrights. CEO Ellison testified Tue. that Oracle earlier spoke with Google about working on a smartphone. Google said it used only openly available Java code in Android. It asserted Oracle, failing to develop a smartphone, wants a piece of Android. Google rose 0.6% and Oracle 2.2%.
